Rocky Horror Show
EVENT DATE(S): Weekends in July (see below)
Rochester Civic Theatre in Rochester, MN

I'm writing to let you know that the Rochester Civic Theatre in Rochester, MN is performing the Rocky Horror Show live for 3 weekends in July. We'd love to have folks from Minneapolis and the surrounding areas join in the fun. Rochester is full of virgins and we could really use folks with experience in the audience.

The show dates are July 14, 15, 16, 20, 21, 22, 23, 27, 28, 29, and 30. The Thursday shows are at 7:30, Friday and Saturday are 8:00 and the Sunday shows are at 2:00. Tickets are $20 for adults and $17 for full-time students and senior citizens. To reserve tickets, call 507-282-8481 and have a credit card ready. Ask about our group discount rate.

I have heard prop bags will be for sale for $5, or you can bring your own, I don't know what you can or can't bring other than no SuperSoakers or food.

You can go to www.rochestercivictheatre.org for more information.

Note: This is not an official TS function, but being able to see RHS, especially at a theater that WELCOMES callbacks, is a wonderful thing.

Back To Where It All Began-- Rocky at the Waverly Theater
EVENT DATE(S): July 7, 2006 - Midnight
(location)

Press release from Transvestite Soup:

Rocky Horror Returns to Its Cult Birthplace!

New York City’s Waverly Theater is where audience participation began, as a response to midnight showings of the now-great cult classic movie, The Rocky Horror Picture Show. The theater has suffered through bad times for two decades, but has been extensively remodeled by the Independent Film Channel and is set to be reopened as the IFC Center. It will be showing RockyHorror, and the occasion of the movie’s homecoming is drawing fans and performers from all over the country on Friday July 7th and Saturday July 8th.
The Twin Cities’ own live cast Transvestite Soup performs the movie’s action in synchronization with the screen, matching costumes and props as well; the cast has been invited to send a representative to this largest event in Rocky Horror history. A presentation on the events at the Waverly/ IFC Center from a “TS” cast member's point of view will be given at a regular performance following the event. Transvestite Soup performs every first and third Saturdays of the month at the Riverview Theater in Minneapolis.
