"Hi, I'm Ben, the other white… Ben! I'm a Rockyholic.

I was first introduced to Rocky at the tender age of 14. I was at a school dance for theatre people and they played the beloved Time Warp. The girl I was courting at the time, who was 2 years older than me, laughed at my vacant expression. Soon after that night, I watched Rocky for the very first time while at an after prom party in a friend's basement. We had callbacks, toast, water guns, and me as the sacrificial virgin. I wish I could say that I lost more than my Rocky virginity that night (other than my house key), but I was still a "nice" kid and subscribed to the rules set forth by society. I eventually found my key under the couch cushion (Well, I was a nice boy, but not that nice). I bought the soundtrack and movie shortly after that glorious night and have been hopelessly addicted from that moment on.

A few years passed without great incident, but then my cohorts and I went to the Dayton Affair. The one thing I vividly remember from that night was the little 9 year-old kid's sacrifice. He was supposed to fake an orgasm, but he claimed he didn't know what one was. So he was told to act like he just got a new pokemon card instead. He was the best by far, and I was never able to look at a pokémon the same.

A few years back, I moved from between two corn fields in rural Ohio to Minneapolis and became one of the regulars. I claimed my seat as the one next to RockyMom and I was eventually adopted into the Rocky family as the company photographer. What can I say, I like flashing people! Occasionally, I made appearances on stage as Ralph, Betty, Eddie, and the stunt person. I thought to myself, "What the hell, I might as well audition!"

In my normal life (yes, I do have one!), I work as an administrative assistant for a couple dermatologic surgeons who remove skin cancers and tattoos, among other things. It may sound like a lackluster job, but I get to sit on my ass all day, talk on the telephone, and play on the computer. LiveJournal, Collapse and quizilla are my preferred ways to waste time. My coworkers make the job fun, though I still haven't been able to talk them into coming to Rocky. I recently graduated with a BA in theatre arts. I focused on performing (acting and puppetry), stage management, and lighting design/technology. I do odd evening jobs involving theatre.

Some other things I enjoy include the following: art museums, homestarrunner.com, flowers and gardening, Tim Burton movies, The Muppets, Harry Potter, Sloe Gin and orange juice, my cat, pogo sticks, candy, Austin Powers, flying small airplanes (I'm still working on my private pilot certificate), Halloween, Vanilla Stoli and Coke, Douglas Adams novels, playing tuba and guitar, Queen, "special" milkshake, coffee, dressing up/wearing costumes, cooking, trivia and useless facts, Curious George, flirting with the ladies (and guys, too!), and many other strange and interesting things (like Audrey II)."
